Counterfeit 20-kroner coins in circulation
The police report that there are counterfeit 20-kroner coins in circulation. The coins are imitations of the 2021 coin. It is the small details that reveal attempts at counterfeiting

Do you have banknotes that will become worthless?
31 May 2026 is the deadline for exchanging 1000-krone and all older-series banknotes. After that, the notes will be worthless. You can only exchange the banknotes at Danmarks Nationalbank's banknote exchange points in Aarhus, Odense and Copenhagen.
Security of the 50-krone banknote is upgraded
As the last banknote in the current banknote series, the 50-krone bank-note has now been security upgraded. The colours and images on the banknotes are the same as before, but new security features have been added to make the banknotes even harder to counterfeit.
