Fake 20-kroner coins in circulation
The police report that there are fake 20-kroner coins in circulation. The coins are imitations of the 2021 coin. Here you can see pictures of the real coins from Danmarks Nationalbank and compare the details if you are in doubt whether you have received a counterfeit coin.

Do you have invalid Danish banknotes?
Danish 1000-krone banknotes and older banknotes are from 1 June 2025 no longer legal tender in Danish shops and banks. You can still exchange invalid banknotes in three banknote exchange points until 31 May 2026.
