Total balance sheet

Statistics on the total balance sheets of banks and mortgage credit institutions are a statement of their assets and liabilities. The institutions’ balance sheets consist of an assets side and a liabilities side. Items on the assets side include cash, loans and securities. Items on the liabilities side include the stock of deposits and equity. The statistics contain information on both stocks and flows and details of, among other things, the counterparty sector.
