High turnover with payment cards during Black Week

The turnover with payment cards in week 48, also known as Black Week, was 36 per cent higher than the average week in 2024. The data for the daily card turnover during Black Week show, unsurprisingly, that card turnover on Black Friday was significantly higher than the average Friday in 2024, namely 68 per cent higher. Compared to Black Friday 2023, this year’s card turnover was 43 per cent higher, greatly helped by the fact that many received their salaries on the same day. However, in terms of the average card turnover for the same weekday, December 1st stands out the most. Here, card turnover was 87 per cent higher than on an average Sunday in 2024.
