Money Demand in Denmark 1980 – 2002

An analysis of money demand in Denmark shows that it develops according to generally accepted hypotheses, but may be described in somewhat simpler terms today than previously. Among other factors, this is attributable to the stable development in the krone's exchange rate vis-à-vis the euro, as well as the high degree of convergence between Danish and German interest rates in recent years.
