Governor Christian Kettel Thomsen’s speech at The Association of Danish Mortgage Banks
On 18 April 2023, Governor Christian Kettel Thomsen gave a speech at a conference at The Association of Danish Mortgage Banks. In the speech he emphasised the importance of a robust housing market. It is important that the housing tax reform is implemented as planned in 2024 and to limit the use of deferred amortisation to robust homeowners. Finally, Christian Kettel Thomsen highlighted analyses of the influences of energy renovations for the housing market and pointed out that floods may become a new source of credit risk.
