The Danish Payments Council: Status of the card payment contingency measure in Denmark
The Danes mainly pay digitally. The payments infrastructure in Denmark is secure and robust, however having a physical payment method to hand is still relevant in case it is not possible to pay for essentials in shops by the usual means. That is why the Danish Payments Council is working with other relevant stakeholders to ensure that a society-wide payment method is available in Denmark in the form of payment cards. This report provides an update on the work so far.
