On 20 September 2023 at a press conference, Governor Christian Kettel Thomsen's main messages were that we are in a situation that calls for for a tight economic policy. Central banks have already tightened monetary policy significantly, but it is important that fiscal policy in Denmark does not counteract the impact of higher interest rates.
