Conference on new types of digital money

On 9 March, 2023, Danmarks Nationalbank hosted a conference on New types of digital money. The conference took stock on the current state of crypto assets and central bank digital currencies (CBDC) and shed light on what the future holds for new types of digital money. What will future virtual economies look like? What is the potential of blockchain? Should crypto-assets be regulated? And should central banks issue CBDC? These were among the key questions on the agenda and were discussed by a broad range of stakeholders from home and abroad.
